CONTAGIOUS!!

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law

Emotions and attitudes are contagious.  If  have a negative mood, it is almost guaranteed that my wife and then my children will follow suit. Negativity is like a cancer that infiltrates the hearts and minds of those who come in contact with it.   Haven’t you worked with that one person who is negative and spreads the down side of every situation to point contagion?   The Bible says:

Hebrews 10:24

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

If you take a moment to seriously ask yourself. . .”am I that person”?  Do I reflect the Fruit of the Spirit or do lose all credibility when I complain?  When we constantly complain we spread an atmosphere of unrest and negativity. What type of reputation are we building in our everyday relationships? Are we growing in the spirit and reflecting the fruit of it in our own lives? If not, then it is almost impossible to share Christ with someone when our actions are totally opposite of the Master’s love and promise of perfect peace in the midst of a storm.  How can we comfort others during their problems when we are the embodiment of complaining and unrest?   It’s kind of hard to tell someone that their marriage will be ok when we ourselves complain about own spouses.

Be encouraged. The Word of GOD is good for self-reflection and reproof in all things. It is guide to better us and to lead us to a better way of living on this side of heaven. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are choices that we can choose every day in every situation. By doing this we show our trust in GOD. By living and producing the Fruits of the Spirit we give credit to our Savior and become an example of Christ to the world. Remember Grow up, not down.

I love you always and in all ways.

COMFORT IN THE VALLEY!

Isaiah 40:30-31 New King James Version (NKJV) 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. In the short time that you have in this world you can expect to be tested. You should look for it and know that you will have valleys and mountain tops along the path that you walk as a Christian. It may seem that the path gets more and more narrow. It may seem that you come across another path that seems to lead you to easier terrain and a location with “greener grass”. Do not be fooled or discouraged. With each season of testing GOD allows you to experience, there will be a season of recovery and spiritual growth. When you are in your valley you can rest in the fact that you will have to go up a hill to reach the mountain top. And the higher the mountain top the l...

Be Encouraged!!

Ready or Not: Here Life Comes Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am starting this blog in response to the excuses I have had as to why I am not doing more for the kingdom of GOD. I have been in the USAF for 7 years and have been a studying to become a Chaplain and pastor for the past 7 years. I have been called into ministry for the past 17 years.. I have had a strong pulling in my soul to serve in full time ministry and have let myself put up blocks in my mind because of my commitment to my country as a military member. This showes a weakness in my heart and mind. I realize that just because I am not a full time Pastor or in "fulltime ministry" does not mean I do not have the opportunity to minister on a daily basis. Realize that no matter where you go or what you do there are opportunities to share GOD's word and work for him. ...

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

Psalm 73:26 King James Version (KJV) 26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever. We need to put our “hurt”, and our “quit” in check. They have no place in the peace and work of Christ. There are so many things this world puts in our lives that will hurt, distract, and push us down to the point of failure.   Your pain is an opportunity to grow.   Your distractions are an opportunity to refocus on GOD.   The temptation to quit is the point where GOD’s supernatural nature can take over your natural ability and accomplish the things you cannot on your own. Remember the following: 1.        GOD loves you to death. 2.        GOD never rests so you can rest on him. 3.        GOD never fails, even when you feel that you have.   D o not quit. Do not think of quitting. And do not plan for alternatives in respon...
