GROW UP!

Ephesians 4:14

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

There must come a time in every person’s life when our childhood and its nature must pass away. We must make it our goal to grow in Christ. We must learn the lessons that GOD presents to us via the events in our lives. I call upon every person to grow up in Christ. I call for everyone to study GOD’s Word, and stand firm in the truth that is revealed, live the message, and share the love within its pages.  Stand firm on its truth and listen to every preacher that preaches, teacher that teaches discerning their words against the truth in the word of GOD. Stop relying on your pastor to show you a revelation. It is not your pastor’s responsibility to ensure that you grow in Christ. He is there to serve his flock and to guide you in your walk with Christ. However it is your responsibility to choose that walk each day and make a commitment to grow in Christ. Your pastor will preach, teach, pray, serve, and minister to you, but you must apply that preaching, learn from that teaching, and follow the example of service presented by your pastor’s leadership.  You should be secure in your own walk with Christ to the point to recognize false teachers, and preachers trying to lead you into opposition with GOD’s word.

Question:

Would you know false teaching if you heard it?

Just like Eve in the garden Satan whispers to us daily.  He wraps lies inside the word of GOD to lead us astray and cause confusion amongst the faithful of Christ. Believe me Satan has a lot more knowledge in GOD’s word than most of us. He has practiced twisting GOD’s words and intentions since the beginning.  He causes us to focus on the wrong things and wants us arguing over what ultimately stops us from living out the true meaning and nature of the Gospel.

Bottom line read the word of GOD for yourself. Do not become lazy in your walk with GOD.  That way when you are faced with those who oppose or teach false teachings of the faith, you can be prepared with an answer and defend the word of GOD. Do not let the ways of this world discourage you. Grow up in Christ and defend the faith.

I love you always and in all ways.

Rev. M. Harrison.

HARVEST TIME!

Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Have you ever been working, waiting, or standing in the gap for anyone? In such times of testing and prayer did you ever think how easy it would be to give up? It seems that while we are going through we loose sight of the goal GOD has set before us! We focus on our discomfort and take the burden onto our own backs instead of leaning on GOD's everlasting arms. The struggle itself is not the problem. However, our main problem is our human condition. We cannot do it all on our own. We must constantly look in the mirror and remind ourselves that we are not alone. . . Ever! We must remember who our GOD is. GOD will never allow you to go through a problem without bringing you to your blessing. It may take more time than you would like to endure. However the outcome and harvest gained is what's needed. If you are ...

Be Encouraged!!

Ready or Not: Here Life Comes Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am starting this blog in response to the excuses I have had as to why I am not doing more for the kingdom of GOD. I have been in the USAF for 7 years and have been a studying to become a Chaplain and pastor for the past 7 years. I have been called into ministry for the past 17 years.. I have had a strong pulling in my soul to serve in full time ministry and have let myself put up blocks in my mind because of my commitment to my country as a military member. This showes a weakness in my heart and mind. I realize that just because I am not a full time Pastor or in "fulltime ministry" does not mean I do not have the opportunity to minister on a daily basis. Realize that no matter where you go or what you do there are opportunities to share GOD's word and work for him. ...

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV). Do Not Grow Weary In Waiting!!! I have realized that we live in a society that has trained us to have everything "right now" and our way. We have become experts in getting our children to stop having temper tantrums. We grow weary when we even think about how long something may take. And the thought of working through a rough patch in our lives and marriages seems like the thing not to do. I mean!! Half of our marriages end in divorce. How can Christians fight for marri...
