actions and dictate what goals and achievements they set for themselves.
For instance a pastor or congregational body that views their building as a
symbol of how successful they are. Or a man who feels as if he is measured

heaven and know that in Him and only Him our Hope should rest. If we were to
lose the ability to draw our next breath immediately, breathing would become
our largest hope and concern. So shall it be the moment we slip from the

following his will. We express our faith in a chair when we allow all of our
weight to rest upon it as we sit. Why, do we never fully rest in GOD? We say
we have faith in Him. We say we hope in Him. But we never allow our full
weight and hope to rest upon him. He asks us for our hope, and asks us to
put our cares on Him. He wants our problems. He wants to handle the
"temporary" realm of our existence. Just as he has us covered in eternity,
he wants to shape our temporary situations. Put your hope in Him, and in
confidence have great expectations for the future events that will unfold
before your eyes. Be encouraged, GOD is able and is worthy and qualified to
handle your hopes and dreams.
I love you always and in all ways.
"Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days
are numbered-how fleeting my life is. You have made my
life no longer thanthe width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best,
each of us is but a breath. And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only
hope is in you."
Some people hope
for things. Things that in the end will
not give them joy
or take the place that GOD should have. These things influence theiractions and dictate what goals and achievements they set for themselves.
For instance a pastor or congregational body that views their building as a
symbol of how successful they are. Or a man who feels as if he is measured
by the number of zero's on his paycheck, or the woman who finds her strength
in her outward appearance or superb intellect. These things are fleeting
and like life are only for a certain time.
What we should place our hope in is eternity. What is eternal? What will
last? In these
temporary moments of life we should seek the eternal GOD ofheaven and know that in Him and only Him our Hope should rest. If we were to
lose the ability to draw our next breath immediately, breathing would become
our largest hope and concern. So shall it be the moment we slip from the
temporary life into the eternal one. GOD and our place in eternity will
become the focus of our existence.
With that said and realized, we should not waste the
short time we have
here. While living and hoping in GOD we should be
expressing our love andfollowing his will.
