THE HEART OF THE MATTER!

Psalm 51:10

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

When you speak, teach, walk and talk in this world, are you being honest?   I do not mean to ask are you blatantly lying to everyone you encounter. Rather I mean to ask, what you portray on the outside, is it what lies beneath the shell you let everyone see?  I know that in each of us there is a place that only GOD knows.  Inside your heart, and desires, is there a relation to what you allow people to view?

As you walk with GOD,  His Spirit on the inside should begin to match what you strive for on the outside.  That place only GOD knows . . . be it good, bad, sweet, or sour will be moved and changed to match the heart of GOD.  In this way, how you act and what’s in your heart will begin to meet.  To many of us treat our faith as if it’s that person you date behind closed doors but are ashamed of in public.  We act a certain way to fit in at work and school, and when we go home we have to ask for repentance for the content of our conversations, and the character we portrayed.  Like the Apostle Peter we love Christ, but in times of testing and pressure deny him and lie to ourselves with every ill action that allows us to blend in with the world.

So what can we do?  Each day is an opportunity for us to evaluate ourselves and ask GOD to help us in every area of our lives.  The clean heart that is represented in Christ should be our daily prayer.  For what is on the inside is the heart of the matter.  The transformation of each of us begins inside like a seed and in time blooms on the outside as proof and expression of our Christian faith.  Be encouraged and know GOD will never give up on you.  He sees the end of the race from the beginning, and knows how far you have to go and where he will take you.  Live each day a little bit better than the last.  Recognize your shortcomings, ask for forgiveness, repent and grow in GOD.  The heart transplant will take time, but will never happen if you do not give your heart to him.

I love you always and in all ways.

COMFORT IN THE VALLEY!

Isaiah 40:30-31 New King James Version (NKJV) 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. In the short time that you have in this world you can expect to be tested. You should look for it and know that you will have valleys and mountain tops along the path that you walk as a Christian. It may seem that the path gets more and more narrow. It may seem that you come across another path that seems to lead you to easier terrain and a location with “greener grass”. Do not be fooled or discouraged. With each season of testing GOD allows you to experience, there will be a season of recovery and spiritual growth. When you are in your valley you can rest in the fact that you will have to go up a hill to reach the mountain top. And the higher the mountain top the l...

Be Encouraged!!

Ready or Not: Here Life Comes Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am starting this blog in response to the excuses I have had as to why I am not doing more for the kingdom of GOD. I have been in the USAF for 7 years and have been a studying to become a Chaplain and pastor for the past 7 years. I have been called into ministry for the past 17 years.. I have had a strong pulling in my soul to serve in full time ministry and have let myself put up blocks in my mind because of my commitment to my country as a military member. This showes a weakness in my heart and mind. I realize that just because I am not a full time Pastor or in "fulltime ministry" does not mean I do not have the opportunity to minister on a daily basis. Realize that no matter where you go or what you do there are opportunities to share GOD's word and work for him. ...

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

Psalm 73:26 King James Version (KJV) 26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever. We need to put our “hurt”, and our “quit” in check. They have no place in the peace and work of Christ. There are so many things this world puts in our lives that will hurt, distract, and push us down to the point of failure.   Your pain is an opportunity to grow.   Your distractions are an opportunity to refocus on GOD.   The temptation to quit is the point where GOD’s supernatural nature can take over your natural ability and accomplish the things you cannot on your own. Remember the following: 1.        GOD loves you to death. 2.        GOD never rests so you can rest on him. 3.        GOD never fails, even when you feel that you have.   D o not quit. Do not think of quitting. And do not plan for alternatives in respon...
