RETURN!

Luke 15:20

20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was yet at a distance, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.

Some of us have struggled for so long with issues and the trappings of life that we have a desire to change, and break free, but we don’t know where to start.  We are also afraid of what it really means to be free from the struggle that has accompanied us for so long in our lives. . . We ask and say:

“Well, Lord If I break free from, (adultery, obesity, smoking, lusting, alcohol, sex) what will I have to fight next? What will I have to focus on next?  I don’t know what freedom really feels like and that scares me!”

These feelings are normal and truth be told, these feelings are some of the reasons we have relapsed back into our familiar activities.  However GOD has always been watching you.  Even before you accepted Christ and before you even acknowledged the fact that you had a problem GOD has been looking, and waiting, patiently.  Jesus told this parable in response to being accused of spending time with sinners.  You see GOD makes the fallen, and afflicted his main source and business.  That means even after you are saved GOD has a vested interest in you.  He wants you to battle those demons, and better yourself that you may become an inspiration to others.  He is looking for you to come to him for the answer to all your afflictions.  He is waiting, like the Father in this parable, to see you coming to him from a distance.  You will be limping, stumbling, bleeding, hurt and almost broke.  But your Father in heaven, will run to you, embrace you, kiss you and restore you.

But first you have to make the decision to return to GOD!  You have to arise and look at yourself and the source of your afflictions and call them out for what they really are.   What you call “pleasure and satisfying your fleshly needs” is a decision to follow your way over GOD’s way.  It is a decision to align your mind with how Satan thinks.  Satan made a choice to elevate himself over GOD.  And when we sin that is the same thing we are saying within our self.  When we sin we are saying our choices and thoughts are above GOD’s law and way.  And like Satan we will fall, and lose every time.   We have to change, come to our senses, and return to GOD.  Be encouraged He is merciful and is waiting for us to come to him.

With this said, take time to self-evaluate your life.  Make the choice to rise and start walking towards GOD.  You will give yourself resistance but GOD is not asking you to do it all by yourself.  He wants to see you make your way to him in Love with everything that is in you.  You are not alone, and GOD will not fail you.  He is the source of your peace, rest, and ultimately, your victory.

Remember I love you always, and in all ways.

HARVEST TIME!

Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Have you ever been working, waiting, or standing in the gap for anyone? In such times of testing and prayer did you ever think how easy it would be to give up? It seems that while we are going through we loose sight of the goal GOD has set before us! We focus on our discomfort and take the burden onto our own backs instead of leaning on GOD's everlasting arms. The struggle itself is not the problem. However, our main problem is our human condition. We cannot do it all on our own. We must constantly look in the mirror and remind ourselves that we are not alone. . . Ever! We must remember who our GOD is. GOD will never allow you to go through a problem without bringing you to your blessing. It may take more time than you would like to endure. However the outcome and harvest gained is what's needed. If you are ...

Be Encouraged!!

Ready or Not: Here Life Comes Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am starting this blog in response to the excuses I have had as to why I am not doing more for the kingdom of GOD. I have been in the USAF for 7 years and have been a studying to become a Chaplain and pastor for the past 7 years. I have been called into ministry for the past 17 years.. I have had a strong pulling in my soul to serve in full time ministry and have let myself put up blocks in my mind because of my commitment to my country as a military member. This showes a weakness in my heart and mind. I realize that just because I am not a full time Pastor or in "fulltime ministry" does not mean I do not have the opportunity to minister on a daily basis. Realize that no matter where you go or what you do there are opportunities to share GOD's word and work for him. ...

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV). Do Not Grow Weary In Waiting!!! I have realized that we live in a society that has trained us to have everything "right now" and our way. We have become experts in getting our children to stop having temper tantrums. We grow weary when we even think about how long something may take. And the thought of working through a rough patch in our lives and marriages seems like the thing not to do. I mean!! Half of our marriages end in divorce. How can Christians fight for marri...
