TURN!


2 Chronicles 7: 14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

We want God to hear us and to bless us.  We all need a healing and an answer from God.  And yet to achieve it the Bible is clear.  We must pray, seek, and crave GOD.  We must turn away from sin, and to Him.  Think about it.  How can you get closer to GOD when you are focused on yourself and the world? 

Bottom line: If you really want God to be more than the reason you go to church, if you want Him to be your Lord and savior, then give up the things that separate you from Him.  Draw near to Him and he will draw near to you.  Consistently seek Him every day in every way.  Read His word and let it become a seed within you.  The healing begins when you let him in. 
So the question is: Are you ready and willing to turn from your old ways and towards Him?

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:7 Even though we know better, do we live parts of our lives in secret as if GOD is not watching. We need to ask God to shine a light on the areas we need to fix.   Yes we need fixing. Just as no man could throw the first stone at the woman caught in adultery, we cannot cast any judgment on to anyone but ourselves. We do not deserve  anything but death because of our sin. If we are dirty, and in no way worthy of GOD’s attention, then WHY!?!?!,.   .even though we deserve the stones to be thrown upon us does GOD cover for us.   In this scripture we are manifested in the face of the adulterous woman.   At one point in our lives we have chosen our way over GOD’s way. HARVEST TIME!

Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Have you ever been working, waiting, or standing in the gap for anyone? In such times of testing and prayer did you ever think how easy it would be to give up? It seems that while we are going through we loose sight of the goal GOD has set before us! We focus on our discomfort and take the burden onto our own backs instead of leaning on GOD's everlasting arms. The struggle itself is not the problem. However, our main problem is our human condition. We cannot do it all on our own. We must constantly look in the mirror and remind ourselves that we are not alone. . . Ever!
