Even if you had a bank account that could pay off the world's debt a million times and still have enough to buy every one in North America a tank of gas everyday until gas ran out (with inflation) you would still be short. 1Jn_5:4  For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.  In life we lose. We lose jobs, friends, girlfriends and loved ones, to downsizing, time, and death. We lose ourselves in the opinions of others and the world. Some would say "That's life". But the word says "Php_1:21  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain".   What are we focusing on in this world? To many of us never learn how to lose. We are in essence "sore losers" who teach our kids to be "sore losers".  There is a old song that says: "Little flowers never worry when the wind begins to blow. . . If it never ever rains then they will never ever grow."  All of your troubles, set backs,and losses are not what the world makes them out to be. They are opportunities for GOD to work in our lives. Everyone has a struggle that they war against within themselves. At times we are our own worst enemy. Our GOD allows the struggle, and the outside influences to constantly remind us that by ourselves we are nothing. But with GOD all things are possible. Fear can paralyze,and doubt can distract . . . But GOD can take our fear, and doubt to uphold us in His hands. We are His buisness. We are His priority, and there is nothing more important to Him in this world. He wants us to...

Psalm 46:10(NIV)  He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” GOD IS ASKING YOU TO GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN SO HE CAN WORK!      My wife will be the first one to tell you that I can cook really well. However when my wife is in the kitchen I have a tendency to get in her way. Most times things flow better for my  wife when I am not trying so hard to inject my "help" into her process.       She asks me politely: " Honey please step aside so I can finish what I am doing."      What she really means  is: "Will you get on;  and sit down somewhere! In this world and especially in our society there are so many things the world can offer to keep us occupied. So many opportunities that we can explore. In fact we live in a nation that boast to be the "land of opportunity"! We are empowered to be the masters of our own fate. This is great, but only to a point. We should rejoice that we are free to consult our GOD for our direction. We should not feel free to make choices in the place of GOD. This is where most of us get into trouble,(myself included). It is so easy to find interest in something and submit it to GOD as a viable option for our lives only to convince ourselves that GOD has blessed it. In reality we have never consulted GOD and really have never trusted ...

We grow weary when we even think about how long something may take. And the thought of working through a rough patch in our lives and marriages seems like the thing not to do. I mean!! Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT If I am saved and I believe in You, then why do I act brand new? As a Christian I know and have faith that GOD has my life and well being in his hands. I know in my heart that if GOD brings me to it he will bring me through it.  But time and time again on my worst days I feel a weight on me as if the future and its uncertainty blocks the light of GOD's plan for my life.  My flaw is the need to know how and when GOD will do what he will do.  And if I cannot see the "hows" and "whens" of life then I can start to panic, and worry.
