Committed

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.   Have you ever, just once, been fully committed to something or someone? Have you totally lost yourself In support of a mission, person or purpose? In an instant the thoughts of self-glory and preservation fade into the background. What takes its place is a purpose that is larger than you. The world will never understand this type of commitment fully. For at its roots is the message and Spirit of GOD. When you get married you are representing a symbol of this commitment. To become a Christian and embrace GOD as the center of your world and to live a life of expression to that fact is the fruit that represents this lifelong commitment. When you truly encounter the reality of the Kingdom of GOD you realize the price of your citizenship. You realize GOD has extended himself fu

THE HEART OF THE MATTER!

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. When you speak, teach, walk and talk in this world, are you being honest?    I do not mean to ask are you blatantly lying to everyone you encounter. Rather I mean to ask, what you portray on the outside, is it what lies beneath the shell you let everyone see?   I know that in each of us there is a place that only GOD knows.   Inside your heart, and desires, is there a relation to what you allow people to view?                    As you walk with GOD,  His Spirit on the inside should begin to match what you strive for on the outside.   That place only GOD knows . . . be it good, bad, sweet, or sour will be moved and changed to match the heart of GOD.   In this way, how you act and what’s in your heart will begin to meet.   To many of us treat our faith as if it’s that person you date behind closed doors but are ashamed of in public.   We act a certain way to fit in at work and school,

TEMPORARY MOMENTS

Psalm 39:4-5, 7   "Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered-how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath. And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you."     Some people hope for things.   Things that in the end will not give them joy or take the place that GOD should have.   These things influence their actions and dictate what goals and achievements they set for themselves. For instance a pastor or congregational body that views their building as a symbol of how successful they are. Or a man who feels as if he is measured by the number of zero's on his paycheck, or the woman who finds her strength in her outward appearance or superb intellect.   These things are fleeting and like life are only for a certain time.   What we should place our hope

EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!!!!

Matthew 13:44 "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.                 What do you treasure? In this life your actions will give proof of what is closest to your heart. Whether if it is money, sex, family, or success it will manifest in where you spend the majority of your time. As you traverse through the corridors of your life the lessons learned along the way will shift your focus to new realities and passions.   If you get married and have children you naturally will begin to think long-term and prepare for a future that includes your spouse and children. If you begin a career of professional sports you will invest in coaches and trainers to perfect your skill and talent. All these things deal with the temporary and temporal things of life. Family and occupation are noble causes and show maturity howev
