STAND!!

1 Corinthians 16:13  Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong   We search for so many things to detain, and entertain us in this world. And the world has so much to offer us when it comes to entertainment.   But when we open our eyes and hearts to what this world has to offer we must remember to always keep our guard up.   “GUARD?” you may ask. . . . Yes keep your guard up.   My friends, via music, movies, and gossip we can allow all sorts of spirits into our lives.   We can be influenced, tutored, and swayed by what we here and see.     Consequently what we allow ourselves to be entertained by is what we will condone our children to watch and see.    You may say “I don’t let my kids see everything I see!”   But the fact remains that your children see and hear what you are doing!   Unfortunately this is the example that most children will follow.   The bible calls us to be men and women of courage! This means having the integrity to put away

RETURN!

Luke 15:20 20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was yet at a distance, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. ________________________________________________   Some of us have struggled for so long with issues and the trappings of life that we have a desire to change, and break free, but we don’t know where to start.   We are also afraid of what it really means to be free from the struggle that has accompanied us for so long in our lives. . . We ask and say: “Well, Lord If I break free from, (adultery, obesity, smoking, lusting, alcohol, sex) what will I have to fight next? What will I have to focus on next?   I don’t know what freedom really feels like and that scares me!” These feelings are normal and truth be told, these feelings are some of the reasons we have relapsed back into our familiar activities.   However GOD has always been watching you.   Even before you accepted Christ and before you even a

RESTORATION

Hosea 6:1 “Come, let us return to the Lord ; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up."   This life and our existence is, no doubt, a journey.   From the womb to the grave GOD is revealing the plan he has chosen for us and we are moving through each day living and responding to the situations GOD is placing upon us.   We wonder what the next chapter will hold, or why GOD has allowed us to experience pain and loss.   But GOD is preparing us for His work in this fallen world.   You see since the fall GOD has had you (and everyone else) on His mind and began a work of redemption that included sacrificing his own Son to pay debt that sin had caused.   GOD ultimate goal is to restore us and show us he loves us.   This world and our passage through it are a story and journey of restoration. With that said, every moment and situation of your life are points of transition. God is pulling, tearing, and knocking us down in o

Losing to Gain!

Philippians 3:7-11 7  I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. 8  Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ We live in a world that is chasing a dream, and the betterment of all life.   The “pursuit of happiness” has led many into an attitude and way of living that puts value on the “things” of this world.   Our lives are now summed up in the chase of success and the fulfillment of worldly dreams. Science and technology are pushing GOD to the edges of our focus and we must fight to realign our minds on what’s really important. You see the fact remains our lives are spent chasing and maintaining freedom, but in reality GOD has spent all of humanities history caring after and making provision to offer freedom to us.   What we value in the world
