DEAD OR ALIVE?

Matthew 22:32

God isn't the God of the dead, but of the living.

Some struggle with “what was”.  Others struggle with “what’s to come”.  Their focus is constantly on what they have done or would have done. In these cases that person is just living, and never really gets to be alive.  Christ came to put the past to bed. He came to handle the affairs of your future. Worry never fixes what GOD has already planned.  The past is done. Those who have betrayed you and those you have betrayed are a part of the story leading to salvation.  In other words, they are just a piece of the story that makes up your testimony. They are you life’s lesson.  To think of them in any other way or to dwell on them in hopes to see how you would have changed anything is counterproductive. That old relationship or any expired experience is gone.  Commit to being alive. Commit to Christ and leave everything at his feet. Connect your heart to his and listen for the direction and assignment he places in your heart.

Do you really understand what it is to be alive? If you did there wouldn’t be a person who has had contact with you who wouldn’t know also!  Don’t just live, become alive. Become reborn, renewed, breathing, walking and living in Christ.  Some people are just moving through life. I compare it to the movie “Weekend at Bernie’s”.  Two guys are walking this dead man’s body around trying to keep up appearances.  Likewise, your body may move, and you may be moving around, but are you alive? Have you really learned what it is to breathe, and live spiritually? Do not be fooled or distracted by Satan. Do not accept the lie that you are living, and God is dead. Do not accept anything less than perfection and life in Christ. Become alive, . . Alive in Christ.

Be encouraged

I love always, and in all ways.

NEW BEGINNINGS

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert   Some of us are stuck in our present and being held back by our past.   We struggle with what might be and what “was”, all the while God is shining a light on the door that leads into a place of renewal and challenge.   The question is; Why do we hesitate to turn the key and accept the challenge? We must be open and faithful to the plan of God in our lives.   In o ur past and present we have developed a perceived control, but our future is totally in God’s hands.   We need to recognize and accept that in all things God’s will needs to be done.   Do not let fear, and uncertainty become the stumbling blocks that motivate you to sway from God’s plan.   Be bold and accept his will and way for your future.   Look for his guidance and leave the past where it belongs.   ...

Never Lose You!

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? _____________________________________________________ The world would have you believe that it has all of the answers.   The world will tell you that what you see, hear, feel, touch and smell is all that is real and worth living for.   But you may not know or understand that living for the rewards of this world come at a cost.   The world’s influence, when used as the blueprint for living, takes your heart and shapes it to its will leaving you an empty shell of who you really are. Nothing in this world is worth changing who you are in Christ.   There is no middle ground in the issue.   Yes, we are all a work in progress and live in this world, but who we are is not dictated by anything or anyone in this world.   Who you are is worth more than whatever this world has to offer.   Do not chase the image the world is selling you.   Unless...

TIME!

James 4:14   Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. __________________________________________________________ Our plans and plots are events that we try to cram into the short time we have on this earth.   The term YOLO is very true.   We only have one life, and one short chance to live and make a difference in this world.   When we make plans for our lives we are, at best, looking at a very small slice of time.   Our time is like a seed.   A seed is small!  Yet it will leave a legacy that will be manifested in the tree and fruit that is produced.   The seed will die but what it leaves behind speaks to what was planted.   What have you decided to do with your time?   Strive to let your life edify God and leave a legacy of love via your life of expression.   Express the gift that God has given you through His son Jesus Chris...
