POWERLESS!

Job 42:1-6

Then Job answered the Lord and said:

2 “I know that you can do anything,
and no one can stop you.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’
It is I—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about,
things far too wonderful for me.
4 You said, ‘Listen and I will speak!
I have some questions for you,
and you must answer them.’
5 I had only heard about you before,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
6 I take back everything I said,
and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

We think we have control over some aspects of our lives.  We make plans and dream about our future and at times we forget to consult GOD.  And sometimes when we get too high and forget that GOD is in control GOD has to remind us that we are truly powerless and totally dependent on Him.

Do you think that just because you have a degree, and have achieved a level of success that you have a say in the direction your life should go?  Does your perceived wisdom and success give you the right to push GOD to the back burner?  Do you really think that you have achieved anything on your own?  When we even allow ourselves to think that we have contributed anything to our life’s success we are in danger of giving glory to ourselves when it all belongs to GOD.

In the same manner, when we are going through a storm and tribulations, we have no right to question GOD.  We are not in any position to think we can control what is going on.  When we try to take matters into our own hands and work outside of fasting, prayer, and praise we show our lack of faith in GOD.  We show our faith in ourselves and ultimately will end up being forced to crawl to the master’s feet with only the strength and good sense to do what we should have done to begin with . . ., ask for his help and lay our problems at his feet.

Realize that in this life success, or tribulations are a part of GOD’s plan.  We can bring some problems on ourselves, and via our obedience be blessed.  However nothing, good or bad, is possible without GOD moving each piece and bringing it to pass.  We are powerless when compared to the strength, and wisdom of GOD almighty.  So wherever you find yourself, please remember that GOD is in control.  Do not think so highly of yourself that you try to nudge GOD off of his throne and shape your life outside of his will.  Be encouraged and know that GOD is love, and sits on high for a reason.  GOD alone knows what is best for us and is the source of our highest calling.  So give praise where praise is due.  In the valley and on the mountain top praise GOD for allowing you to be powerless in his hands.  Praise yourself for nothing; consult yourself for nothing,   rather Praise Him for what and where he allows you to be!

I love you always and in all ways.

COMFORT IN THE VALLEY!

Isaiah 40:30-31 New King James Version (NKJV) 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. In the short time that you have in this world you can expect to be tested. You should look for it and know that you will have valleys and mountain tops along the path that you walk as a Christian. It may seem that the path gets more and more narrow. It may seem that you come across another path that seems to lead you to easier terrain and a location with “greener grass”. Do not be fooled or discouraged. With each season of testing GOD allows you to experience, there will be a season of recovery and spiritual growth. When you are in your valley you can rest in the fact that you will have to go up a hill to reach the mountain top. And the higher the mountain top the l...

Be Encouraged!!

Ready or Not: Here Life Comes Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am starting this blog in response to the excuses I have had as to why I am not doing more for the kingdom of GOD. I have been in the USAF for 7 years and have been a studying to become a Chaplain and pastor for the past 7 years. I have been called into ministry for the past 17 years.. I have had a strong pulling in my soul to serve in full time ministry and have let myself put up blocks in my mind because of my commitment to my country as a military member. This showes a weakness in my heart and mind. I realize that just because I am not a full time Pastor or in "fulltime ministry" does not mean I do not have the opportunity to minister on a daily basis. Realize that no matter where you go or what you do there are opportunities to share GOD's word and work for him. ...

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

Psalm 73:26 King James Version (KJV) 26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever. We need to put our “hurt”, and our “quit” in check. They have no place in the peace and work of Christ. There are so many things this world puts in our lives that will hurt, distract, and push us down to the point of failure.   Your pain is an opportunity to grow.   Your distractions are an opportunity to refocus on GOD.   The temptation to quit is the point where GOD’s supernatural nature can take over your natural ability and accomplish the things you cannot on your own. Remember the following: 1.        GOD loves you to death. 2.        GOD never rests so you can rest on him. 3.        GOD never fails, even when you feel that you have.   D o not quit. Do not think of quitting. And do not plan for alternatives in respon...
