Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

What would you think if you saw your favorite football team run onto the field in pajamas?  The opposing team would take the field fully suited up and ready for the game!  And your team would be just out there . . . not prepared.   This is what we do each day when we neglect to put on the armor of GOD.  God asks us to put on the “whole” armor of GOD.  Truth be told, this world is full of plots and schemes that Satan is using to try to take you down.  And sometimes, we make it so easy!  We go to the places we should not go.  We look and listen to the things we shouldn’t be looking at or listening to.  And we think about anything and everything except for pleasing GOD.


In essence we take the field in our PJs.  We do not have the armor nor the weapons to combat Satan in this world.  We set ourselves up for a very painful lesson.  Do not depend on your own strength to succeed.  Satan has been at this game for a lot longer than you have been breathing and knows what to do to tempt you to fall.  Look up, Pray up, Act up, and Suit up for Christ.


Be encouraged God is faithful and has fitted you for your armor! All you have to do is put it on!

John 8:7 Even though we know better, do we live parts of our lives in secret as if GOD is not watching. We need to ask God to shine a light on the areas we need to fix.   Yes we need fixing. Just as no man could throw the first stone at the woman caught in adultery, we cannot cast any judgment on to anyone but ourselves. We do not deserve  anything but death because of our sin. Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Have you ever been working, waiting, or standing in the gap for anyone? In such times of testing and prayer did you ever think how easy it would be to give up? It seems that while we are going through we loose sight of the goal GOD has set before us! We focus on our discomfort and take the burden onto our own backs instead of leaning on GOD's everlasting arms. The struggle itself is not the problem.
