SKIN DEEP or SPIRIT DEEP

Galatians 6:8
English Standard Version (ESV)
8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

This world is one of give and take. Whether we want to admit it or not we all reap what we sow. Our work endeavors, personal goals, and relationships will all reflect what we put into it.  With this in mind we need to check our motives. It is in our motives that drive what type of seed we sow. At times we can even fool ourselves when we sow into our relationships with the wrong motives.
If one is into appearances and only loves someone because of how they look, or how much money they can make then the love sown into that relationship is empty and void. GOD sows his love into us and we have nothing to show, and nothing to offer Him. All your best qualities, all your money , and your good looks are for nothing when trying to please GOD.  God is looking for those who will serve him in spirit and in truth.
When you are not all skin in the game while serving GOD and others then sooner or later you will reap the fakeness you have sown. You will be tested and your true colors will show. When you sow into your flesh you will reap fruit that is as fickle as your flesh is.  Your reward will be corruption.  However, in order to reap love it takes sowing in the spirit. It takes the love of GOD to truly love others and serve Him. For GOD is love.  The word says that love is not easy.
1 Corinthians 13:1-13 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Love sows in sacrifice. Serving self will only get you so far. Serving GOD will carry you into eternity!  When we serve and love GOD as if the rest of our existence depends on it, then our service and love becomes real. When we sow in the flesh we only give 100% just as long as our flesh is getting what it feels is worth the effort.  Instead we should live a life of confirmation of the love that GOD has sown into us. In this manner we will allow GOD to reap what he has put into our hearts.  GOD has given us the ability to love and sow from our spirit in hopes to share eternity with the world.  Choose today how you will use the rest of your time on this side of eternity . . . serving flesh or GOD.
Be encouraged!
I love you always and in all ways.

HARVEST TIME!

Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Have you ever been working, waiting, or standing in the gap for anyone? In such times of testing and prayer did you ever think how easy it would be to give up? It seems that while we are going through we loose sight of the goal GOD has set before us! We focus on our discomfort and take the burden onto our own backs instead of leaning on GOD's everlasting arms. The struggle itself is not the problem. However, our main problem is our human condition. We cannot do it all on our own. We must constantly look in the mirror and remind ourselves that we are not alone. . . Ever! We must remember who our GOD is. GOD will never allow you to go through a problem without bringing you to your blessing. It may take more time than you would like to endure. However the outcome and harvest gained is what's needed. If you are ...

Be Encouraged!!

Ready or Not: Here Life Comes Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am starting this blog in response to the excuses I have had as to why I am not doing more for the kingdom of GOD. I have been in the USAF for 7 years and have been a studying to become a Chaplain and pastor for the past 7 years. I have been called into ministry for the past 17 years.. I have had a strong pulling in my soul to serve in full time ministry and have let myself put up blocks in my mind because of my commitment to my country as a military member. This showes a weakness in my heart and mind. I realize that just because I am not a full time Pastor or in "fulltime ministry" does not mean I do not have the opportunity to minister on a daily basis. Realize that no matter where you go or what you do there are opportunities to share GOD's word and work for him. ...

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV). Do Not Grow Weary In Waiting!!! I have realized that we live in a society that has trained us to have everything "right now" and our way. We have become experts in getting our children to stop having temper tantrums. We grow weary when we even think about how long something may take. And the thought of working through a rough patch in our lives and marriages seems like the thing not to do. I mean!! Half of our marriages end in divorce. How can Christians fight for marri...
