GOD CAN’T DO NOTHING!

Jeremiah 32:17: “Oh, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”   The title (in bad grammar) means GOD CAN DO EVERYTHING!   Big dreams take faith. Faith takes a relationship and built trust in GOD. When is the last time you stopped focusing on the perceived impossible situation in your face and focused on GOD’s resume in your life? Most people have a good reason to believe GOD can do what they ask without even looking into the pages of the Bible. Sometimes we can read the stories in the bible and it is so detached from us and our life. We read about GOD creating the universe, and parting the red sea . . . etc. and we can’t relate. However, as awesome as those acts are, GOD has parted oceans and moved mountains in our personal past! When we come across a new obstacle we forget the previous power GOD has displayed in our lives. We act brand new! We act like we don’t have any Word in us. ...

MAN UP!

Joshua 1:9 — “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” When men are in line with GOD they find a courage that the world finds unsettling. When a man cannot be bought or bribed or seduced by the trappings of this world then that man becomes a threat to the plan of Satan. The path to the center of GOD's will begins with a choice and an answer to the command of GOD.   Men have to remove themselves from the throne of their own life and allow GOD to be their King. For most of a young man’s life his flesh rules his thoughts and actions. His needs are self-centered, and actions are self-serving.   A man has to be ready to let his own fleshly desires go in order to answer GOD's call. GOD calls all men to . . . 2 Timothy 2:22 — “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” When...

SKIN DEEP or SPIRIT DEEP

Galatians 6:8 English Standard Version (ESV) 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. This world is one of give and take. Whether we want to admit it or not we all reap what we sow. Our work endeavors, personal goals, and relationships will all reflect what we put into it.   With this in mind we need to check our motives. It is in our motives that drive what type of seed we sow. At times we can even fool ourselves when we sow into our relationships with the wrong motives. If one is into appearances and only loves someone because of how they look, or how much money they can make then the love sown into that relationship is empty and void. GOD sows his love into us and we have nothing to show, and nothing to offer Him. All your best qualities, all your money , and your good looks are for nothing when trying to please GOD.   God is looking for those who will s...

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM!

John 3:19 (NKJV) 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. What is our problem as people? Some groups would want you to focus on the acts, or how society has provided access to sin. Alcohol, Adultery, Murder, Pornography, Gluttony, Greed, etc.. etc.., are on a lists of acts that many would have you focus on. However I would argue that these are a manifestation and reflection of the true problem in our world. Yes all of these things are bad but they are not "THE PROBLEM". Lets look at Satan who is the model for all sin and is the Father of sin. (Isa 14:13 NASB) But you [have said] in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the [remotest part] of the north. The Bible says that Satan's problem started in his heart. Ezekiel 28:15 states that Satan was ...

KNOW YOUR ROLL!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. JERM 29:11 What is GOD Calling you to do. Are you seeking GOD's purpose for your own life or are you riding the coat tails of another? For years I fought the call of minister and pastor because the calling ran in my family. I wondered "am I projecting my own will into my life?" Was I only following my earthly role models? GOD does call us to respect and look to those soldiers in Christ that have answered their call of ministry. However GOD calls us to seek his will for our own lives. He has a special unique plan for each of us that is not designed after or a copy of someone else's. We need to stop saying the following: I want to be a pastor just like _______! I want to bless other financially just like_______! I want to be blessed just like ______! We should say this instead: I want to be like Christ when I be...

HARVEST TIME!

Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Have you ever been working, waiting, or standing in the gap for anyone? In such times of testing and prayer did you ever think how easy it would be to give up? It seems that while we are going through we loose sight of the goal GOD has set before us! We focus on our discomfort and take the burden onto our own backs instead of leaning on GOD's everlasting arms. The struggle itself is not the problem. However, our main problem is our human condition. We cannot do it all on our own. We must constantly look in the mirror and remind ourselves that we are not alone. . . Ever! We must remember who our GOD is. GOD will never allow you to go through a problem without bringing you to your blessing. It may take more time than you would like to endure. However the outcome and harvest gained is what's needed. If you are ...

ARE WE DOING ENOUGH?

And he said to them , "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation" . Mark 16:15 The enemy would like you to believe that your casual invite of a friend is enough to fulfill the "Great Commission". When you get some one to fill a seat in your weekly worship service do you feel good about getting them to come to church? Do you feel as if you have done enough? Let me ask you this. . .. If you saw a child drowning in a pool what length would you go to save them? Would you only tell them to swim from the sideline? Would you go as far as to throw them a life line? Or would you consider jumping in and pulling them to the pools edge? What do you think their parents would want you to do? What would you do for your own child? When we invite someone to church and rely on the pastor to lead them to Christ we are not doing everything we can to save that lost soul. We are not fulfilling the "Great Commission". It is not your pasto...
